The following information is extracted from an October 16 email from CodeNEXT:
“Next week, two important public meetings will determine the next phase of the CodeNEXT project.
On Monday, Oct. 20, the Code Advisory Group will recommend which of the three approaches for revising the City of Austin’s land development code it supports.
The meeting will take place 4 p.m. at the Carver Branch Library (http://goo.gl/6Y4bgS) (1161 Angelina Street).
Then, on Thursday, Oct. 23, the City Council will conduct a public hearing and make a decision on the code approach, allowing the consultant team to begin work on more detailed outlines and specific content.
The Council hearing will begin at 4 p.m. at the Travis County Commissioner’s Court (http://goo.gl/Xtl75T) (700 Lavaca Street).
Each meeting offers an additional opportunity to voice your opinions.
