North Shoal Creek’s 19th annual Independence Day Parade and Celebration is 9-11:30 a.m., Thursday, July 4th at Pillow Elementary School. Decorate yourself, the kids, and the pets and come celebrate the Fourth with your neighbors.
Schedule:
9:00 a.m. Gather in front of Pillow; if you want to enter one of the 7 best dressed/best decorated contests, pick up a number from one of the contest judges
9:05 a.m. Brief opening ceremony
9:10 a.m. Parade around the block begins; includes a police escort and a firetruck
9:45-11:30 a.m. Enjoy fun, food, and games beneath the pavilion behind Pillow; contest prizes will be awarded and there’s a raffle too. Everything is free, including the raffle.
Seven contest categories: most patriotic children’s costume; most patriotic adult costume; most patriotic pet, and best dressed bike, trike, wagon, and stroller
