My name is Alejandra Duarte and I’m with the City’s Austin Resource Recovery department. Our first Fix-It Clinic of the year is coming up soon on Saturday, February 11th and we would greatly appreciate your help spreading the word! Last year, Austin Public Library ‘s bookstore Recycled Reads, and Austin Resource Recovery diverted over 350 lbs. of material from the landfill by hosting Fix-It Clinics. We match volunteer repair coaches with folks interested in repairing rather than discarding their broken household items.
